Irving Penn

Irvin Penn was known for his still life, portraits, and fashion photography photos. He studied at Philadelphia Museum School for Industrial Art for two years in the 1930s. Around the 1950s, he opened his own art studio, which had made him grow more popular over time. His work on Still Life was more of it being abstract because of the volumes and lines of the objects. Most of his art work is being shown in museums in the United States and Europe.

This photo was chosen because it reminds me of how Still Life could just be anything. But you could make a bigger image out of what was used. For this one, it shows me tea time while playing a game, but for rich folks. His other Still Life's like this also have a meaning behind them. But when he uses objects to make a Still Life that isn't like this, it turns into an objects. For example, his other type of Still Life photo used fruits and were placed semi-on-top of each other which resulted to them looking like a face. Those images, of his two types of Still Life's inspired me to make something similar which I did. One having a meaning behind K-Pop (albums, fruit, and cookies) and the other being Among Us, a game (little creatures and cotton).
