Where My Inspiration Comes From       I  started art when I was young, don't exactly remember the age. I was watching my cousin draw a rose and I was thinking that if he could draw that, why not I give it a try. But it just didn't come out the way I thought it was. Ever since then, I was learning from watching on TV because there was a special show on Comcast, at the time, that thought kids how to draw the basic things which would seem hard but they had made it easy. It was fun and I enjoyed it. As time went on, as in when I got older, the show wasn't available anymore and I resulted to drawing what I saw around the house without tracing. Those images weren't bad and so I decided to step it up a notch or so. I had an Instagram and the explore page was filled with wonders. That is how I had found a lot of artists and I started to draw their work. I was proud that it was almost like how the artist themselves had made it, and so I had posted the images and tagged them. ...

  Susan Sontag’s book: On Photography        In Susan Sontag's book, "On Photography", she wrote a chapter on Plato's cave, which was the time when 3 people who were chained in a cave with no light but the light from outside which had given them a view of what is going on outside. There are three parts that I would like to talk about based on what she had wrote.  "Photographed images do not seem to be statements about the world so much as pieces of it, miniatures of reality that anyone can make or acquire." (Page 4)      I had chosen this sentence to let people understand that photography is similar to art. But my main purpose is to say that photos are suppose to be something that many people can put a story towards because no matter what a picture could look like, someone always has an opinion on it. (  Robert Frank | San Francisco (1956) | Artsy  )   Robert Frank   Robert Frank was born in 1924, in Switzerland. He studied photography in 1941. He worked on commercial photography and studio design. Frank later worked on his photography book called The Americans  which changed photography in a way. He caught the actual perspective of what America is like instead of everyone assuming the US was living the “American dream”. He wanted people to understand how he felt and how the people may have felt when he took those photos that was in the book. This photo was chosen because he actually liked talking about this photo out of all his photos because of their reaction. When he took this photo he said that he tried to make it seem like he was taking a photo of the horizon but actually of them.
