Sandy Skoglund was born on September 11, 1946, in Weymouth, Massachusetts. In 1973, she had received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Iowa. As the years went on, she later had art exhibitions in Texas, New York, and worldwide. Skoglund won awards as her artwork went on.

I find this photo interesting because of the color of the background with the fishes. They are both bright colors, but the fishes stand out more than the background and other objects. I want to aim for something like this when I do my drip drawing on top of the photo. I want it to show why they like the item that they brought. I also choose this because of the difference in the color of the people, fishes, and background. It is something I want to be noticed in my photography when I add art on top of it.

(  Wolfgang Tillmans | Artnet  ) Wolfgang Tillmans   Wolfgang Tillmans studied in England at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design. He studied for 2 years in the early 1990s. This makes the rose on the wall look like it is outside in a spring or summer area with the sun shinning brightly. He studied at Philadelphia Museum School for Industrial Art for two years in the 1930s. Around the 1950s, he opened his own art studio, which had made him grow more popular over time. His work on Still Life was more of it being abstract because of the volumes and lines of the objects. Most of his art work is being shown in museums in the United States and Europe. This photo was chosen because it reminds me of how Still Life could just be anything. But you could make a bigger image out of what was used. For this one, it shows me tea time while playing a game, but for rich folks. His other Still Life's like this also have a meaning behind them.
