Abelardo Morell   ( Photograms — Abelardo Morell ) Abelardo Morell was born in 1948 in Cuba. He traveled to the United States with his parents in 1962. He first went to  Bowdoin College to get his undergrad and then went to t he Yale University School of Art to get his MFA. He later became a professor of photography from 1983 to 2010 at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. As Morell's life went on, he received rewards from different museums in the United States.   Alec Soth   (  Alec Soth | Sleeping by the Mississippi  ) Alec Soth was born in Minnesota in 1969. He went to Sarah Lawerence College. He started as a painter and moved on to be a photographer. During his photography career, he published 25 books about his work. He likes to take photos to make poetry and not document.  His work is kind of similar to mine because we are both connecting the social life of what someone does to the photography life. This is a form of showing people what others don't see. It is a way of understanding something that the person enjoys. I kind of see a connection with the cover because we both are trying to connect it to the theme of the photos before actually seeing the photos.  I want to take photos of people up close with the things that they like. I believe that it's what makes the person what they are today or what keeps them together. The items that a person keeps dear to them are what makes them who they are.
